Licence Agreement
You may have a licence agreement if you rent a room and you
share a communal room such as a bathroom or living room with other
people. You will normally be offered a licence agreement in
supported accommodation when you rent a room and share facilities
with others.
You have fewer rights than tenants and you are known as a
‘licensee’. A licensee is someone (not a tenant) who has the
permission/agreement of the owner/landlord to live in their
property for which a charge is made, often known as an occupancy
charge instead of rent.
