Sewage Treatment Plant and Pumping Station Maintenance
Tendering
We have now completed the tendering exercise
for the maintenance of our sewage treatment plants and pumping
stations.
Tenders from contractors were assessed against
a formal tender evaluation model which took account of price and
quality of service.
The successful contractors are
Alpheus Environmental
Ltd., for the maintenance of sewage treatment plants
and South West Water
Ltd., for the maintenance of pumping stations.
Residents, and those non-residents who receive
this service, paying for it through a variable service charge, were
formally consulted at each stage of the process. Comments
received were used to shape the work specifications and approach to
the tender. We would like to thank those who submitted
comments as part of the consultation process.
Spectrum Property Care will be managing the
contracts on behalf of Signpost Housing Association and they are
looking forward to working with the new contractors.
The new contract will give us transparency of
costs for each treatment plant and pumping station, so those
receiving the service can be assured that they are paying for the
service they are receiving. Having gone through a tendering
exercise we can also be assured that we are getting good value for
money in terms of the services being received.
