- Total lack of heating/hot water
- Major water bursts
- Defective electrics

Independent Living
If you live in Independent Living accommodation you have the
option of speaking to your Liason Officer who can report the repair
for you.
Appointments
Signpost has an appointments system for repairs. When you report
a repair where Signpost staff will need access to your property you
will be offered an appointment time slot. Where repair work needs
to be carried out that does not require access i.e. outside of your
home we will let you know the timescale during which you can expect
that the repair will be carried out.
The appointment slots and timescales for repairs are shown
below. When you contact Signpost you will be told whether your
repair is:
- An emergency repair - work will be carried out
within 24 hours
- An appointed repair - the work will be carried
out between 2 and 28 calendar days depending on the urgency of the
repair and on a date and at a time period that is agreed with
yourself.
- A routine repair (a repair where we do
not need to get into your home) - work will be carried out
within 28 calendar days
The time periods offered will be:
- All day
- Morning
- Afternoon
- Avoid school run
