Tor Square House - Halloween Party
31 October 2009
Residents of Tor Square House in Torquay have
been working with staff at Signpost and with the local
neighbourhood Police team to resolve some of the problems being
experienced in and around their homes. Housing staff have done
joint visits to look at issues in communal areas and residents have
come together at meetings to talk through some of the
problems.
On Halloween evening, residents organised a
party and fancy dress competition for the children although the
adults willingly joined in. Signpost donated £50 to support the
community event. Residents carved pumpkins and provided an
excellent spread of food and drinks.
Kate Weeks, Community and Resident Involvement
Officer, said “It was great to see everyone enjoying themselves,
working together and doing something positive. I hope other
communities will be encouraged to get involved and that we can
build on the work done so far”.
