Support for your community
Our responsibilities to our residents extend
beyond the bricks and mortar of your homes. Our mission clearly
states that we strive to empower people and support active
communities. This means that we will support you to make your
neighbourhood a better place to live.
Some of the ways in which we are working to
achieve this include:
- Working with Partners on initiatives such as Partners And
Communities Together (PACT)
- Working with key stakeholders through consultation and local
projects such as the ‘Credit Crunch in North Dorset Conference’ and
the ‘My Neighbourhood Project’ at Kings Heath in Devon
- Attending local events such as the Gillingham Festival and the
East End Community Carnival in Plymouth
- Providing training and support through Housing With Respect for
people from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities (BME)
- Community Champion Awards
- Supporting our Neighbourhood Representatives and Open
Representatives locally
- Supporting our numerous resident and community
associations and groups throughout the South West
