Residents' Improvements
You may have the right to make an improvement
or alteration to your home but you will need to gain our permission
first. Please put your request in writing. Click on the link
'Contact Us' in the top of the right column for our contact
details.
Get Permission First!
All improvements and alterations need
permission, from putting a cat-flap in your door to building a
conservatory. You should include plans, drawings, and
specification of any works you want to do.
In some cases you will need to obtain planning
permission or building regulation approval from your local
council. It will be up to you to get this and show it to
us.
All works are to be effected in a competent
tradesman like fashion and in accordance with the gas or electric
supply authority’s requirements and any other statutory regulations
and consents. Residents have full responsibility for ensuring that
all works and materials are fit for the purpose and must ensure
that the work does not cause annoyance to others.
You must not make alterations or
improvements with out our written consent. You will be responsible
for the cost of putting things right if you have gone ahead without
our permission or carry out any work which does not comply with
building regulations or safety standards.
