Sewage Plants

Signpost Housing Association has 52 sites across the North Dorset area some of which are Sewage treatment plants, septic tank, cess pits or wet well pumping stations

The sewage treatment sites serve at least 402 properties some of which are private (principally former council properties sold to tenants). The average cost for maintaining and renewing the plants over a five year programme will cost approximately £3,500 per property.

Our dedicated maintenance team carries out regular checks on every site tending to plant and ensuring they are working correctly. Site surroundings are maintained, pipes are checked for blockages, grass and hedges are cut and fencing and gates inspected to ensure site security.

The Association has embarked upon a 10 year refurbishment and renewal programme that will cost in the region of £2.7m. Work is anticipated to start early in 2002 and continue through to ensure the best possible service is provided to Signpost customers throughout the North Dorset area.
