Eleven new homes at Tarka Point, Bideford are due to be completed at the end of June, with a further ten homes coming in October.
The development provides a good mix of family housing and comprises of one, two, three and four bedroom homes, seven of which are shared ownership. Bob Fish, Area Development Manager for Spectrum Housing Group said, “The development is an excellent example of partnership between the private and public sector, which will provide much needed affordable housing in Bideford. I hope all the new residents will be happy in their new homes.”
The development at Tarka Point is the latest scheme to be built by Signpost Housing Association Ltd, part of the Spectrum Housing Group, in partnership with Persimmon Homes, The Housing Corporation and Torridge District Council to provide affordable homes for rent and shared ownership sale.
The scheme has cost just over £1.6 million to develop, £685,000 was provided by the Housing Corporation and Torridge District Council contributed £225,000 with some of this amount being second homes council tax funding. The remainder was provided by Signpost’s private funders.
