Caren Welsh and Lucille Brown have recently been appointed as
Housing Officers for Signpost Housing Association.
Caren previously worked for Purbeck District Council for
16 years, the last 8 years as a Tenant Services Officer in
the Housing Department. Her main duties included rent arrears
and estate management. Caren works from Signposts Blandford
Office and her main duties include estate management, allocations,
rents and void properties.
Caren is married with one son who is a year old. Hobbies
include playing hockey and badminton and for the last 18 years
she has worked voluntary with the 1st Wareham Boys Brigade
Company.
Caren joined Signpost to broaden her knowledge and experiences
and felt that this could be achieved by joining a larger organisation
offering a comprehensive housing service.
Lucy
previously worked for East Thames Housing Association in Stratford,
London where she was responsible for the recovery of rent
arrears. Lucy and her husband have recently moved to Dorset
from Essex.
As Lucy says, One thing I've learnt in housing is that
there is always something you don't know. You never stop learning.
In my new role at Signpost l am already gaining knowledge
about things that I've never dealt with before such as allocations.
However, I hope that the fifteen years experience I've had
in housing, will also benefit Signpost and its' tenants.
Lucy is based at Signposts office in Sturminster Newton,
Dorset. In her spare time Lucy enjoys walking, photography
and reading. She is a member of Amnesty International and
the National Trust.
